At Vicariously, we’re passionate storytellers, strategic thinkers, and dedicated partners in bringing video games to the world. Since our founding as Vicarious PR in early 2017, we’ve transformed from a humble two-person operation into a full-service creative marketing agency—one that indie developers and major publishers alike trust to craft emotive, data-driven campaigns that move players and drive real results.
The Beginning of Vicarious PR
Vicarious PR was born when two former games journalists and content creators—driven by a shared belief in the power of authentic storytelling—teamed up to offer tailored PR services for the games industry.
Rapid Growth & Recognition
Starting as a dynamic duo, we quickly earned recognition for our holistic approach to public relations and impactful influencer marketing. By focusing on clear KPIs and forging genuine media relationships, we expanded to a team of 15+ PR, advertising, and influencer specialists—and collected over 30 international awards along the way.
Expansion into Publishing
Building on our agency expertise, we launched a boutique publishing label to support games from concept to global launch. This new arm of our company allowed us to dive deeper into market analysis, creative production, and full-cycle distribution.
Strategic Acquisition
We grew stronger through acquisition, welcoming Six One Indie into our family. Their talent and experience boosted our creative capacity and expanded our network of media contacts and influencer partners around the globe.
Championing Indie Games
Committed to celebrating independent games, we co-produced the inaugural Indie Game Awards—an event that spotlighted innovative titles and the teams behind them, further cementing our role as advocates for the indie community.

We launched our updated marketing philosophy alongside new key services including our effective advertising solutions which we had beta tested throughout 2024 with our fantastic creative team.
